The inaugural wave, which was sponsored by a consortium of animal protection organizations, was completed in June 2008. Results are now available to registered HumaneSpot.org users, or click here to read the press release.

COMPLETED: Advocating Meat Reduction and Vegetarianism to US Adults

The Humane Research Council completed a landmark study on the state of meat consumption among adults in the U.S. This study addressed in detail the behavior, motivations, and barriers of consumer segments of particular interest to vegetarian advocates. The full HRC report is an essential tool for anyone working for widespread adoption of humane diets, and a limited version is also available for free. To learn more about the report or gain access to the findings, please visit HumaneSpot.org.

COMPLETED: US Public Perception of the Animal Protection Movement

HRC has completed several phases of research on behalf of the National Council for Animal Protection (NCAP), formerly known as Summit for the Animals. The studies have included a mix of quantitative and qualitative research to assess the public attitudes and consumer behavior that are relevant to the animal protection movement. This important research is available exclusively to current NCAP members. If interested, please contact Joan Dempsey, NCAP Executive Director, at jdempsey@netryders.com or 603-239-6446.
