What Can I Find on HumaneSpot.org?
Welcome to HumaneSpot.org, your comprehensive resource for animal-related opinion and behavior research! For more in-depth information regarding how to use these resources, please see the HumaneSpot.org User Guide.
This website is organized into the main sections described below to help you quickly and easily find what you need. We provide a wide range of primary research studies, secondary abstracts, articles, and more to help animal advocates with their important work.
My Humane Spot -- My Humane Spot is your personal home page, showing only the research and information that you need most in your work for animals. You can save any of the items or pages on our website that interest you to your own personal "research dashboard." Or you can view the most recent email/RSS alerts that you may have missed.
Research Database -- The HumaneSpot.org Research Database is the most comprehensive resource of its kind, covering animal-related opinion and behavior research. Currently including more than 500 research citations (and growing daily), our database includes HRC-produced abstracts as well as many of the original research reports right here on our site.
Advanced Search -- Are you looking for something specific, but not sure exactly where to find it? If so, try our Advanced Search, which gives our registered users the ability to conduct a site-wide search for relevant content. Or you can choose to narrow your search to specific animal-related topics or types of content.
HRC's Research -- Browse through our collection of HRC-authored reports and articles to find information relevant to your work. HRC's Research includes:
HRC Client Studies -- HRC's clients include a diverse range of animal protection groups, many of which have agreed to share their results with other advocates, either directly or through our series of case studies.
Syndicated Research -- Syndicated studies are multi-client research projects carried out on behalf of coalitions of animal advocates. HRC has completed several such studies, and also regularly proposes new syndicated studies.
Articles and Case Studies -- HRC also provides case studies based on client projects, including how we approached the research and the challenges and key results. Our articles provide information and strategies designed to help animal advocates effectively reach their target audiences.
External Resources -- This is our bibliography of informative external reference sources. Links are provided to other websites where you can find repositories of useful data or information related to one or more of the primary topic areas on HumaneSpot.org.
Humane Thinking! -- Read HRC's blog, where our research experts provide their thoughts on the latest data and trends in the movement, and what they mean for animal protection. Registered users are also invited (and encouraged) to share their comments.
