According to the Physicians Committee for Responsible Medicine (PCRM), 80% of the restaurants at the busiest 15 airports in the U.S. offer at least one low-fat, cholesterol-free vegetarian entree.
Abstract:
The 2008 survey is the third year in a row where a high number of airport restaurants were found to offer at least one low-fat, cholesterol-free vegetarian entree.
The percentage score for each airport below was derived by dividing the airport’s number of restaurants serving health-conscious food by the total number of restaurants:
- Dallas/Fort Worth International (95%)
- Detroit Metropolitan Wayne County (95%)
- Houston George Bush Intercontinental (83%)
- Phoenix Sky Harbor (82%)
- Los Angeles International (81%)
- Denver International (79%)
- Minneapolis-St. Paul International (77%)
- San Francisco International (77%)
- Orlando International (76%)
- Miami International (75%)
- Newark Liberty International (75%)
- Las Vegas McCarran International (71%)
- Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International (67%)
- Ronald Reagan Washington National (60%)
