Short Description:
According to a review of 17 U.S. airports by the Physicians Committee for Responsible Medicine, most of these airports are exhibiting a steady increase in healthful food options with the exception of Dallas/Fort Worth and Chicago O'Hare, which lost points compared with the past survey.
Abstract:
Overall, 79% of the 17 airports examined offered at least one healthful, low-fat, high-fiber vegetarian entree. Detroit's airport scored a perfect 100% and has been steadily improving since its 2003 score of 70%. The top five airports include Detroit Metropolitan Wayne County, San Francisco International, Phoenix Sky Harbor International, Houston George Bush Intercontinental, and Newark Liberty International.
