A United Kingdom survey found that 1 in 13 supermarkets listed duck's eggs for sale, but only two chains actually stocked duck's eggs in a few select location. Nonetheless, one major provider of duck's eggs in the UK has increased sales by 45% in the past year.
Abstract:
Watercress Lane is the leading producer of duck's eggs in the United Kingdom, with over 8,000 producing birds supplying more than seven million eggs to the wholesale, retail, and catering sectors per year. Over the past year, demand for the company's duck eggs has increased by 45%.
However, a major client of Watercress Lane was liquidated last year, leaving an excess supply of duck eggs for the company.
